The SIR database is an authoritative source of information on distributed generation deployments across NY state. The addition and maintenance of this data set would integrate nicely with the hosting capacity maps and add a time dimension to DER capacity deployments for each utility circuit and bulk power system substation. This would also make it easier for DERs to eventually participate in the wholesale markets under future FERC Order 2222.
